Looking for Omegle on PC?
There is no official Omegle app for Windows — the original service shut down. OmeglePC gives you the same kind of video chat directly in your desktop browser, with no downloads at all.

Why There's Nothing to Download
Sites offering an "Omegle download for Windows" are offering something that never existed. Omegle was always a website — and any installer claiming otherwise is worth avoiding.
OmeglePC follows the same principle. Modern browsers handle webcam video natively, so there's no reason to install anything. Open the site, allow camera access, and start a video chat.
On a desktop or laptop you get the best version of the experience: a bigger video window, a proper webcam, and a comfortable keyboard for the text side of the conversation.

Desktop Setup in Two Minutes
There is no installation, so “setup” mostly means letting the browser do its job.
When the Camera Won’t Cooperate
Nine times out of ten, a dead camera on desktop is one of three things: the permission was denied once and the browser remembered it (click the camera icon in the address bar to undo that), another program is holding the device, or the browser is old enough to predate the video technology involved. Updating and reloading clears most of it.
None of this ever requires an “Omegle PC client”. If any site asks you to install one to fix your camera, close the tab.
Works on Any Desktop
Windows, macOS, Linux — if it runs an up-to-date browser, it runs OmeglePC. There's no system requirement beyond a webcam and a normal internet connection.
That’s also why you should distrust any “Omegle for Windows” installer: the original was never an app, and the alternative doesn’t need one either.
Is there an Omegle download for Windows?
No, and there never was. Omegle was always a website. Installers using the name are not official and are best avoided.
Does OmeglePC work on Mac and Linux?
Yes. Anything with a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari works the same way.
Do I need a powerful PC?
No. Browser video chat runs comfortably on ordinary laptops; your internet connection matters more than your hardware.
